I was born into complex family dynamics that taught me at an early age the importance of family and of proper financial and retirement planning. I’m an Arizona native who grew up in Alaska because my father wanted adventure in the last frontier. It was in Alaska where I received the foundation of conservative asset management while working on the management of a half a billion fixed income portfolio for one of the largest banks in Alaska. A degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage in Finance solidified my future in finance. Later I obtained further education and earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation by completing intensive training offered through the College for Financial Planning®. This training program covers many important investment planning concepts, including asset management, estate planning and retirement planning. CRPC® professionals must also pass a rigorous examination and sign a code of ethics. Acting as a trustee and managing the health and finances of aging parents I personally understand the value of planning.
I reside in Chandler with my wife Sheila where you will frequently catch us out enjoying various events and activities in our community. In my free time, you will find me working out and celebrating my Irish heritage. As an avid movie buff, you will also find me at the theatres weekly. Proud to support my community and local businesses, I give back in time by serving as a Chandler City Councilmember and I'm involved in several local professional and charitable organizations.
